1978年生まれ フランス出身。京都を拠点に活動するマルチメディア・アーティスト。自主レーベ ル「Pollen」主宰。数学・認知科学・音楽インターフェイスの研究を経て、ieva / イエヴァのアー ティスト名で音にまつわるプロジェクトへと発展させる。フィールド・レコーディングで採集し た素材を重層的に構成する手法を用いた彼の作品は、聞き手の想像力を刺激し、印象的で感情的 な宇宙への旅へと誘い出す。それらはさながら耳のために撮られた映画のようである。 さらに彼は実験的な映像作品もいくつか手がけている。抽象的で繊細な作品、デジタル・イメー ジ素材の操作 (ピクサライゼーション、圧縮処理…)、画面を分割した作品などといった抽象的で 繊細なアプローチから制作を開始する。最近は自己生成や相互作用を主題とした作品に取り組ん でいる。 2002年 "the Aquitain Film Music Competition"の実験映画部門にて初受賞。2011年 台湾 (Play Ground URS13)とマニラ (Fete dela WSK !)において2つのマルチメディア・インスタレーション 作品を発表。2012年 実験的映像作家のJacques Perconteのために楽曲を提供する。2013年 最新 LP "il était une fois"がShrine.jpからリリースされる。
Samuel André is a french multimedia artist. He is main sound work is based on the use of field recording, mixed all together by improvisation, creating an intense and emotionally universe you pass through as a waking dream, stimulate your imagination and moving your body to create your own cinema for ear. In 2002 he won the 1st prize of the Aquitaine movie-music contest in the experimental movie category. During 2011, has presented two multimedia installations for the exhibition playground in Taipei and for the WSK festival in Manille. Has worked with various artists : dancers, composers, videographers, architect, director and instrumentalists & has curated different art event in East Asia.
